Daniel was instrumental in staging mock DUI crashes, and his SADD chapter used footage fromtheir mock crash to create a public service announcement that aired across the state and on MTV and VH1.

As SADD National Student of the Year, Daniel represented SADD at many events. He was the National spokesperson for the UR The Spokesperson Campaign , a joint coalition between SADD, the National Ad Council and the coalition of state Attorney General's to prevent reckless driving and save lives by targeting young adults between the ages of 15 and 21.
